About the Role
Kuzuko Lodge, a Private Game Reserve and Five Star Lodge in the Eastern Cape, is seeking a hardworking and reliable Maintenance General Worker to support the upkeep of our lodge. We are committed to creating jobs in an area of high unemployment while rewilding and restoring the land. Key Responsibilities
- Perform general maintenance tasks, including painting, electrical support, gardening, and facility upkeep
- Respond quickly to guest issues reported in the rooms
- Undertake routine daily duties such as cleaning drains, sweeping pathways, and checking lights
- Assist Maintenance Manager with day-to-day maintenance tasks
- Carry out preventative maintenance and respond to maintenance requests
- Maintain a clean, safe, and tidy work environment
- Work on a variety of maintenance projects as and when required
- Assist in other lodge work, including carrying luggage, as and when required
Requirements
- At least two years’ experience in a similar position
- Strong communication skills
- Attention to detail
- Physically fit and able to work outdoors in varying conditions
- Professional and presentable for a Five Star lodge environment
- Reliable team player
- Experience of at least one trade
Qualifications
No formal qualifications are required. However, relevant experience and training in a maintenance or related field is essential.
