About the Role
The Nelson Mandela University seeks a Professor of Human Resource Management to join its esteemed faculty. The successful candidate will be responsible for lecturing and teaching Human Resource Management at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels, leading postgraduate research and curriculum development, and conducting and publishing research within the field of Human Resource Management.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide leadership in learning, teaching, and assessment processes in HRM and Organisational Studies.
- Facilitate teaching and learning of Human Resource Management, strategic HRM, and Organisational Behaviour.
- Engage in independent and collaborative research in Human Resource Management, strategic HRM, and Organisational Behaviour.
- Conduct and publish research in accredited journals.
- Supervise postgraduate students (Advanced diploma, masters, and doctoral).
- Co-ordinate postgraduate programmes.
- Provide academic administration and academic leadership.
- Collaborate with other members of the Department of Human Resource Management, as well as the School of Industrial Psychology and Human Resources.
Requirements
- Have a relevant Doctoral degree.
- Have extensive experience in facilitating learning of undergraduate and postgraduate students.
- Have published journal articles in accredited journals.
- Have presented research findings at conferences.
- Have a track record of successful research supervision and examination of postgraduate students.
- Relevant business and/or consulting experience would be an added advantage.
Qualifications
- Formal education/certifications: A relevant Doctoral degree is required for this position.
