About the Role

We are seeking a passionate and personable Cellar Door Ambassador to join our award-winning hospitality group at a celebrated 5-star wine estate in Constantia, Cape Town. As a key representative of our exceptional wines, you will deliver memorable tasting experiences, connect with guests, and represent our brand with confidence and knowledge.

Key Responsibilities

  • Welcome and host visitors for professional and informative wine tastings
  • Set up and manage the cellar door tasting area
  • Conduct cellar tours and assist with wine shows and functions
  • Drive wine sales, wine club memberships, and cellar door revenue targets
  • Manage daily stock counts, cash-ups, and financial handovers
  • Maintain the cleanliness, presentation, and stock display of the cellar door
  • Assist with local and international delivery coordination
  • Provide responsive service and handle guest complaints and wine club enquiries professionally
  • Package wine for delivery

Requirements

  • Matric essential
  • WSET qualification or wine course (minimum)
  • Minimum 1 year’s experience in a wine sales or hospitality tasting room environment
  • Comprehensive product knowledge or willingness to develop quickly
  • Exceptional interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Strong numeracy and cash handling ability
  • High energy with excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to stand for long periods and work a flexible schedule including weekends and events
  • Stable work history with contactable references
