About the Role

We’re on a mission to build smart, seamless, automated cloud compliance. As a security-obsessed powerhouse, we’ve got the brains, soul, and swagger of a dev team that refuses to ship tech debt. We’re looking for a Senior Full Stack Developer to join the crew.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design & Build: Develop Scytale’s cloud-based platform using AWS, microservices, and containerized tech
  • Architect: Take part in high-level design, research, and planning for scalable and robust software
  • Create End-to-End: Implement backend logic, craft intuitive frontends, and integrate with third-party APIs
  • Collaborate: Work with customers, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to deliver a seamless platform
  • Lead: Mentor junior devs and drive best practices, standards, and knowledge sharing
  • Optimize: Continuously push for efficiency, scalability, and maintainability across the platform

Requirements

  • 5+ years Node.js & 5+ years React experience
  • Strong experience building microservices in production
  • Solid understanding of relational & non-relational databases
  • Proven ability building and integrating REST APIs
  • Hands-on exposure to AWS or similar cloud platforms
  • Ability to mentor, guide, and lead technical initiatives
  • Strong communicator with excellent English (written & verbal)
  • Bonus points for Docker / Kubernetes experience

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
  • 5+ years of professional experience in software development

Salary & Benefits

R1.3m per annum, negotiable based on your skills and experience (hybrid role, permanent position)
