About the Role
E-Merge, a boutique consultancy specializing in digital transformation and technology solutions, seeks an experienced Senior Full Stack Engineer to join their team. As a key member of the team, you will drive cutting-edge digital transformation projects across various industries, working on both backend and frontend systems. Your expertise in .NET and Next.js will be instrumental in building modern, scalable solutions that deliver real business value.
Key Responsibilities
- Take ownership from concept to deployment for multiple high-priority projects
- Develop backend services using C#/.NET 9, ASP.NET Core, EF Core 9, MediatR/CQRS, MassTransit, and SignalR
- Create sleek, responsive frontends using TypeScript, React 19, Next.js 16, Tailwind CSS 4, and TanStack Query v5
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement modern solutions
- Ensure high-quality code, following best practices for maintainability and scalability
Requirements
- C#/.NET 9 with idiomatic, modern programming practices (records, pattern matching, nullable reference types, source generators)
- ASP.NET Core experience with middleware, minimal or controller APIs, authentication/authorization, and Dependency Injection
- EF Core 9 expertise in migrations, change tracking, query optimization, and raw SQL
- Familiarity with MediatR/CQRS and MassTransit for command/query separation and message-based integration
- Experience with SignalR for real-time push over WebSockets
- TypeScript and React 19 proficiency
- Next.js 16 experience with App Router, Server Components, Server Actions, and caching model
- Knowledge of Tailwind CSS 4 and TanStack Query v5 for data fetching and caching

- Formal education in Computer Science or related field (Bachelor’s degree or higher)

- Cost-to-company salary up to R800 per hour, depending on experience and ability.
