About the Role
The Field Support Technician – Safety & Security Solutions role is a critical position that requires a skilled individual to provide technical support and assistance in a mining environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of our operations, while also providing exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to Microsoft operating systems
- Conduct fault-finding and troubleshooting on IT equipment and networks
- Provide helpdesk and customer support services to clients and stakeholders
- Work extended hours and standby when required to ensure seamless operations
- Collaborate with teams to implement safety and security solutions
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs of IT equipment and hardware
Requirements
- Matric certificate
- Valid driver’s license
- Minimum 5 years of IT experience
- Networking experience
- Experience with Microsoft operating systems
- Strong fault-finding and troubleshooting ability
- Helpdesk and customer support experience
- Ability to work extended hours and standby when required
- Medically fit to work on mining sites
Qualifications
- Electronics or PC hardware experience and/or certifications (optional)
