About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Senior Design Engineer to join our team as a key member of our design and delivery process. As a skilled Mechanical Draughtsman, you will be responsible for designing and delivering complex industrial plant and mechanical systems. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys technical depth, ownership of drawings, and collaboration with engineers and fabrication teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and model mechanical equipment and full plant layouts in SolidWorks
- Produce detailed fabrication, assembly and general arrangement drawings
- Develop DXF files and manufacturing documentation for workshop use
- Support engineers and project teams across all design phases
- Compile bills of material and assist with procurement-related technical input
- Provide drawing support during fabrication, installation and commissioning
- Maintain drawing standards, revision control and design accuracy
Requirements
- Mechanical Draughting Diploma or Engineering qualification
- At least 5 years SolidWorks design experience
- Strong understanding of manufacturing and workshop processes
