About the Role
GAP Consulting is seeking an experienced Plant Manager to join their team in the Western Cape region. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the production process, ensuring efficient machine utilization, and maintaining high standards of health and safety compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage plant operations to achieve optimal productivity and efficiency
- Supervise and train staff to ensure excellent performance and adherence to company policies
- Implement and maintain quality control processes to meet customer expectations
- Collaborate with suppliers and stakeholders to source raw materials and equipment
- Develop and implement strategies to reduce waste, energy consumption, and costs
Requirements
- Minimum of 8 years experience as a Plant Manager or Factory Manager in the Manufacturing or FMCG Industry
- Degree or Diploma in Engineering or Mechanical or relevant tertiary education
- Proficient in SAP or Manufacturing systems
- Proven experience in a supervisory or management role
- Strong understanding of Manufacturing processes, Raw materials, Machine utilization, and Health & Safety compliance requirements
Qualifications
- Valid Driver’s License and own Transport required (if not already in possession)
