Job Description

About the Role

Hire Resolve’s client is seeking a Senior Software Developer to join their team in Stellenbosch. The successful candidate will be working on firmware development and integration of software components, contributing to the growth of our products and services.

Key Responsibilities

Participate in the development of firmware components for our products.
Contribute to the development of our Software Development Kits (SDKs).
Conduct thorough testing of firmware and SDK elements to ensure stability and performance.
Maintain existing firmware and SDK codebase, addressing bugs and implementing enhancements.
Integrate software components and algorithms developed by the modeling team into our product offerings.
Provide technical assistance and support to internal teams utilizing our SDKs.
Guide external customers through the process of integrating our SDKs into their systems.
Educate SDK users on best practices for implementation and utilization.
Create and maintain clear and comprehensive task specifications for development efforts.
Ensure source code is well-organized, documented, and adheres to coding standards.

Requirements

Must be able to work primarily in an office environment, with occasional exceptions.
Fluency in English (both written and spoken) is essential.
Willingness to travel for work-related purposes when required.
Flexibility to work overtime on occasion to meet project deadlines.
Demonstrated good problem-solving skills.
Competency in at least one compiled programming language, with a preference for C or C++.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team (Team Collaboration).
Strong communication skills (both written and verbal).
