About the Role

Mecad Systems is seeking a highly skilled Site Manager to oversee the management and coordination of site activities for our Tzaneen project. The successful candidate will have extensive experience in power plant or industrial C&I environments, with a strong understanding of Distributed Control Systems (DCS) and industrial bus protocols.

Key Responsibilities

  • Overall management and coordination of site activities
  • Supervision of C&I installation and electrical activities
  • Ensure work is executed according to approved drawings and specifications
  • Coordinate manpower, tools, equipment and material requirements
  • Review and interpret technical drawings and loop diagrams
  • Liaise with client representatives, engineers and subcontractors
  • Ensure compliance with Eskom standards, safety procedures and quality requirements
  • Monitor project schedules and productivity
  • Conduct toolbox talks and ensure implementation of safety controls
  • Verify inspection and test records before submission
  • Support commissioning and troubleshooting activities
  • Prepare daily, weekly and monthly progress reports

Requirements

  • B Tech in Electrical Engineering or equivalent qualification
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in power plant or industrial C&I environment
