Uitenhage: Electrical Artisan for Facilitator role, Uitenhage, Eastern Cape, 3 year contract

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Artisan with a passion for teaching and training to join our team as a Facilitator in Uitenhage. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical engineering, excellent communication skills, and the ability to create engaging learning experiences.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with the screening and selection processes of learners
• Develop learning material and plans for training needs as required
• Create an environment that is conducive to learning both in the classrooms and workshops
• Maintain discipline and safety of students (Classroom Management)
• Facilitate the theoretical and practical workshop training according to the required knowledge and practical modules
• Record student attendance and prepare students for Summative Assessments
• Administer student assessments
• Manage scheduling of apprentices for theory and industry placement/practical components of the programme
• Monitor and support students during work placements
• Prepare learners for Trade Test and related duties
• Keep up to date with the latest development in field of study
• Attend relevant training workshops and apply knowledge where applicable

Requirements

• Qualified Electrical Artisan with relevant ND/Degree in Engineering
• Wireman’s license advantageous
• Additional relevant teachers/facilitators qualification/occupational training certificate preferred
• 2 years relevant experience in the electrical field
• Knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety Act (Engineering positions)
• Valid driver’s license
• Computer literate in MS Office
• Good report writing skills
• Good verbal, presentation, and teaching skills

• R270 498 – R351 972 per annum for the contract duration dependent on experience
