About the Role
Midas is searching for a Driver to join the team in Welkom, playing a crucial role in ensuring safe and efficient delivery of goods. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for adhering to established procedures and maintaining high standards of customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Inspect vehicle pre-departure and return, and complete inspection lists to hand back to Dispatch Supervisor every Monday.
- Report any errors on the vehicle immediately before it can leave the premises.
- Adhere to the New Dispatch Loading procedure when checking parcels with supervisor.
- Deliver parcels to customers on designated route as per route schedule and trip sheet.
- Ensure customer adherence to the POD (Proof of Delivery) procedure.
- Adhere to the RFC (Route and Frequency Chart) procedure.
- Deliver all documents and collection slips allocated to your trip sheet, receive POD, and sign trip sheets in at the POD clerk.
- Maintain and clean vehicle, reporting any problems on the vehicle immediately to Dispatch Supervisor.
- Report any problems encountered regarding deliveries or PODs to Dispatch Supervisor.
Requirements
- Grade 12
- At least 3 years delivery experience
- Valid driver license with PDP
