About the Role
As an Automation Technician with NDC Personnel, you will provide technical support for agricultural automation products, ensuring reliable performance and efficient on-site operations. Your expertise will be crucial in supporting the installation and commissioning of automation and irrigation systems, as well as assembling controllers, base stations, and electrical cabinets.
Key Responsibilities
- Supporting the installation and commissioning of automation and irrigation systems
- Assembling controllers, base stations, and electrical cabinets
- Troubleshooting controller hardware and software, including PLCs
- Providing on-site technical support
- Assisting with product training
Requirements
- Qualified Electrician with a Trade Certificate
- 3 years of relevant technical experience
- National Diploma, BTech, or Degree in Engineering, Electrical, Electronic, or Mechatronics (advantageous)
- Valid driver’s licence and passport required for travel within South Africa and neighbouring countries
- Knowledge of ELV electrical systems, VSD and PLC systems, computer hardware, hydraulics or flow dynamics, and AutoCAD or Inventor beneficial
