Job Description: Customer Retention and Sales Specialist (Cat Food) Remote. You’ve spent time converting hesitant customers, handling objections without flinching, and genuinely enjoying the moment someone says yes. This role is built for you. You’ll be working with cat parents who’ve just finished a free trial of one of the UK’s most exciting premium cat food brands, a company built on the belief that cats deserve real meat, real nutrition, and real care. Your job is to have honest, warm, persuasive conversations that help them see why staying is the right call for their cat. They already know the product. Your job is to understand their experience, handle whatever is making them hesitate, and give them a genuine reason to stay. These are warm conversations with people who care about their cats, and the right person in this role finds them genuinely enjoyable. Handling objections with confidence Price, habit, uncertainty. You’ve heard it all before and you know how to work through it without being pushy. You listen properly, you find the real concern, and you respond to that rather than the surface objection. Where the penny drops This brand is built on a simple truth. Most commercial cat food is not formulated for cats as the obligate carnivores they are. Once a customer really gets that, the decision to stay becomes easy. You’ll learn the product deeply enough to have that conversation with genuine conviction, not a script. Keeping your own numbers You track your own conversion rate, you know where you are against your targets at all times, and you take ownership of your performance. You share what’s working with the team and you take feedback seriously when something isn’t. Resolving the practical stuff Account queries, billing issues, plan changes. You handle these efficiently so the conversation stays focused on the customer rather than the admin. What we’re looking for: A background in outbound sales, retention, or upselling, contact centre experience is useful but not essential if you have strong sales skills and have consistently converted in a customer facing role A natural on the phone, warm, confident, and genuinely at ease in conversations that require a bit of persuasion Someone who enjoys working to targets and takes real satisfaction from hitting them Clear, professional English, your customers are UK-based with varying accents and expectations Resilient and self motivated, you manage your own energy and don’t need managing into performance Fast learner who picks up systems and product knowledge quickly Your home setup needs: A quiet, dedicated zero distraction workspace with no background noise on calls A laptop or desktop meeting required technical specs Stable fibre internet Reliable backup power for load shedding If converting warm customers, working to clear targets for results sounds like your kind of day, apply now.
