About the Role

Our client, a leading organisation within the wine industry, is seeking an analytical and detail-oriented Inventory Controller to join their operations team based in Stellenbosch. The successful candidate will play a key role in stock planning, replenishment, inventory reporting, forecasting support, and operational coordination.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor and manage inventory levels across multiple sites and business units
  • Plan and coordinate replenishment activities to ensure stock availability
  • Analyse inventory trends and identify potential stock shortages or excess stock
  • Process stock-related transactions, adjustments, transfers, and purchase orders
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and system integrity
  • Support forecasting and demand planning activities through analysis of historical sales and stock data
  • Prepare and analyse inventory reports to support operational decision-making
  • Participate in stock takes, reconciliations, and inventory investigations
  • Work closely with operations, procurement, sales, finance, and warehouse teams to support business requirements
  • Identify opportunities to improve inventory processes, reporting, and operational efficiencies
  • All other tasks related to the role

Requirements

Matric required; a relevant tertiary qualification will be advantageous; 2-4 years’ experience within a similar role; Experience working in the wine industry will be beneficial; Previous experience working with ERP systems such as Syspro, SAP, Sage, Oracle or similar; Excellent computer literacy (MS Office, specifically with Microsoft Excel)
