About the Role

The Lead Electrical Engineer will be responsible for providing technical oversight and governance of electrical systems and grid integration throughout the full project lifecycle, from development through to commissioning and handover.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review electrical designs
  • Manage consultants
  • Ensure compliance with standards
  • Support commissioning and energisation activities

Requirements

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering
  • Minimum 7 years’ experience in power generation, renewable energy, or electrical infrastructure
  • Proven experience in utility-scale Solar PV projects
  • Strong understanding of grid integration, substations, MV/HV systems, and protection systems
  • Experience across project lifecycle stages including construction and commissioning
  • Experience managing and reviewing work from consultants and external stakeholders
  • Knowledge of grid-code compliance and utility interfacing requirements
  • Experience in commissioning, energisation, and plant integration
  • Understanding of SCADA systems and plant control systems
  • Exposure to Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) (advantageous)
  • Strong technical problem-solving and leadership ability
