Job Title: Private Wealth Manager – Athena
Report to: Samantha Bowen
Type: Permanent
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Sales:
- Contacting potential clients and setting up initial meetings.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities through lead generation, prospecting, and networking.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients and stakeholders.
- Promoting and selling financial products to meet sales targets.
- Design product functionality with reference to available solutions.
- Client Servicing:
- Contact clients regularly to determine changes in financial circumstances.
- Ensure exceptional client servicing and address inquiries effectively.
- Conduct regular reviews with key clients to assess satisfaction levels.
- Review and respond to clients’ changing needs and financial circumstances.
- Financial Planning:
- Provide unbiased and professional financial advice to clients.
- Recommend solutions to help clients meet their financial objectives.
- Protect, secure and grow clients’ wealth.
- Research available investment opportunities.
- Risk Management:
- Complete client risk analyses.
- Act within regulatory requirements.
- General:
- Honour all meetings and engagements.
- Keep up to date with financial products and legislation.
- Continued study and development with accredited institutions.
Key Skills Required:
- Strong customer focus with a client-centric mindset
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- High level of ethical conduct and regulatory compliance awareness
- Proven ability in relationship building and influencing stakeholders
- Solid financial planning and advisory expertise
- Demonstrated sales and business development capability
Minimum Qualifications & Experience:
- Matric (essential)
- 510 years experience within the financial services industry
- 57 years experience in Wealth Management (advantageous)
- Regulatory Representative Certification (RE5)
- Relevant tertiary qualification (CFP, CA(SA), CFA or similar)
- Background in Finance, Accounting, or Legal fields preferred
