About the Role
The Regional Head: Insurance is a senior leadership role that focuses on driving growth, compliance, and talent development in a short-term insurance business across the Cape Town Southern and Northern Suburbs.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute the regional business plan to grow market share and revenue
- Drive performance across key revenue drivers: cancellations, cross-selling, up-selling, and new business
- Translate regional strategy into clear objectives for teams and individuals
- Achieve financial targets and manage regional budgets
- Implement and maintain superior client service models and SOPs
- Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation and regulatory standards
- Manage and maintain product provider relationships
- Oversee talent management, succession planning, and EE objectives
- Drive a culture of continuous improvement, learning, and development
- Contribute towards achieving regional BBBEE scorecard targets
Requirements
- Relevant Degree FAIS compliant with NQF 5 Insurance qualification
- Minimum 10 years’ experience in short-term insurance, preferably in an intermediary environment
- At least 5 years’ senior leadership experience managing similar-sized operations
- Proven ability to lead commercial and personal lines broking operations
