About the Role
We are seeking a junior-level software developer to support hands-on technical work required for SAP HANA migration commission projects in Cape Town City Centre. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting with development activities, supporting parallel commission runs, and developing Python and SQL queries for migration validation and reporting.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with development activities supporting the Oracle to SAP HANA commission migration
- Support technical development for parallel commission runs in SAP HANA
- Develop and maintain commission-related Python and SQL queries for migration validation and reporting
- Investigate migration-related calculation discrepancies using data investigation & query processing skills
- Analyse commission data using SQL, investigate variances, and generate validation reports
- Assist with ad-hoc data extraction requests from Commission Management and Finance
- Assist with root-cause analysis for incorrect commission calculations or payments
- Validate migrated data against legacy system outputs
- Develop Python scripts for automated data validation
- Anomaly detection in commission outputs
- Repeatable migration and parallel-run checks
- Enhance existing scripts under senior supervision
- Support reporting and reconciliation automation
- Perform minor enhancements to commission-related processes
- Modify existing SQL objects under guidance
- Optimize performance of commission queries in SAP HANA
Requirements
- AWS experience
- Strong SQL proficiency
- Excellent Excel skills
