About the Role

The Facilitator Assistant role provides support to our training programs by delivering technical training assistance and facilitating workshops on mechanical and welding equipment. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual to join our team and contribute to the delivery of high-quality training.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide direct technical training assistance on mechanical and welding equipment in a controlled environment.
  • Present training modules for each phase.
  • Prepare learner progress reports.
  • Setup and prepare module test sessions.
  • Assess student progress per module per phase.
  • Train preventative and corrective maintenance on mechanical and welding machinery to ensure its reliability and availability.
  • Assist with technical queries, evaluate applications, and help create technical reports and documentation.
  • Guide and inform staff on all relevant safety (OHS) protocols, including Toolbox Talks, presentations, and apprentice induction support.
  • Provide administrative support to ensure the fulfillment of directorate objectives.

Requirements

  • Grade 12 with proficiency in English.
  • Mechanical or welding trade test qualification.
  • Certified facilitator and assessor.
