Johannesburg: CA(SA) Group Structure & Tax Specialist

About the Role

This is not a traditional finance role. You’ll work directly with the CFO and play a key role in supporting the group’s shareholder structures, international entities, tax obligations, and property portfolio management within a dynamic insurance environment. The business is looking for someone who can combine technical excellence with commercial thinking, discretion, and strong stakeholder engagement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage reporting, compliance, and tax administration across multiple entities
  • Support governance and regulatory obligations within a short-term insurance framework
  • Prepare and review management accounts and financial reporting packs
  • Ensure compliance with local and international tax regulations
  • Monitor financial performance, fund flows, and reporting accuracy
  • Shareholder Trust & Offshore Entity Management:
  • Oversee trust administration and annual financial reporting processes
  • Liaise with trustees, advisors, and offshore service providers
  • Coordinate regulatory submissions, tax returns, and ownership disclosures
  • Strategic Stakeholder Engagement:
  • Partner with senior leadership and external advisors
  • Support decision-making through accurate financial insights and compliance oversight

Requirements

  • CA(SA) qualification
  • Proven experience within the short-term insurance industry
  • Strong exposure to tax, financial reporting, and regulatory compliance
  • Experience working within complex or multi-entity structures
  • Knowledge of South African tax legislation and governance frameworks
