About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a group of 15 Security Personnel, ensuring the day-to-day operations of the security team are run efficiently and effectively. The ideal candidate will have experience in a managerial or similar position and possess excellent communication skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage Parade, uniform, Time and attendance, Pay queries, overtime and leave for the security personnel group
  • Perform locking, Arming/Disarming of the warehouse
  • Manage inbound and outbound of stock from the warehouse
  • Conduct SOP/Job Description training with the Security Personnel
  • Attend onsite weekly Security Operations meetings with the Client
  • Manage SACS (Saflec Access Control System) compliance on site
  • Issue temporary access cards using SACS Application
  • Manage Ad-hoc security requests
  • Compile daily/monthly incident reports
  • Management of daily operations
  • Attend CCMA cases where required
  • Manage the discipline of security personnel on site
  • Manage and promote Vodacom Health & Safety compliance
  • Conduct security sweeps to enforce compliance Vodafone clear desk policies
  • Conduct checks and balances to prevent loss
  • Assist with monthly/quarterly stocktake
  • Conduct Building inspections and reporting of incident
  • Facilitate Training and quarterly polygraph testing of personnel
  • Manage movement of contractors that enter his/her environment and ensure compliance
  • Conduct Daily CCTV Checklist and CCTV monitoring
  • Incident investigation and reporting
  • Assistance with emergency evacuation and support

Requirements

  • Grade 12 (Matric) qualification
  • PSIRA certification Grade A
  • Relevant experience in a managerial or similar position for at least 5 years
  • Knowledge of methods and techniques of risk management, business impact analysis and counter measures
  • Knowledge of tools and systems which provide access security control
