About the Role
The Senior Sales Crop Protection Manager role is a critical position in our agrochemical industry team, responsible for managing a large network of distributors and agents within the Western Cape area. The successful candidate will be instrumental in driving sales growth, identifying market opportunities, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing a large network of Distributors/Agents within the agricultural industry in the Western Cape area, covering all related crops in terms of specialised crop protection chemicals
- Managing and driving Distributors, attending client visits when required as well as presenting new and existing agricultural projects and products in the market that will increase their market share and growth
- Presenting monthly reports on sales to senior management
- Driving monthly and annual sales forecasts and budgets
- Determining market strategies and identifying market opportunities for and with Distributors within the agrochemical market
- Managing and working alongside growers and export companies to ensure that customers are aligned and receive the necessary service and products they have ordered
- Conducting demonstrations and trials at farmers days and product launches
- Conducting training with customers, farmers, industry associations and crop-related companies within the Western Cape areas
Requirements
- Business management or agricultural degree, diploma or related qualification is preferred
- Previous sales experience, having worked within the agrochemical industry managing distributors and farmers, is essential for the role
- Previous experience having worked within the agrochemical distribution markets is essential
- Outstanding negotiating skills and communication skills
- A strong network in the agricultural pesticide market is preferred
