About the Role

A well-established company in the building & home improvement manufacturing sector is looking for a driven and detail-oriented Junior Cost Accountant to join their finance team. This role is ideal for someone eager to grow their career within a fast-paced production environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with product costing, bill of materials, and cost variance analysis
  • Prepare and maintain accurate cost reports
  • Support month-end processes (recons & journals)
  • Analyze actual vs. budgeted costs and report on variances
  • Liaise with customers regarding pricing and orders
  • Collaborate with cross-functional management teams
  • Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and inventory control

Requirements

  • BCom in Accounting / Management Accounting (or similar)
  • 1–3 years’ experience in a cost or management accounting role
  • Manufacturing experience (advantageous)

Salary & Benefits

CTC: R18,000 – R22,000 per month
