Job Description

(eng= Stock Controller Our client is looking for a detail-oriented and driven Stock Controller to oversee inventory management, ensure accurate stock records, and maintain efficient warehouse operations. This role is critical in ensuring that goods received and dispatched correspond with the correct documentation, stock levels are optimized, and customer deliveries are fulfilled right the first time. The successful candidate will contribute directly to profitability and operational effectiveness by maintaining optimal stock levels of quality products at all times. This dynamic organisation specialises in the sales, servicing and maintenance of high-performance generator systems across commercial, industrial and residential sectors. Location: Lanseria Salary: R15,000.00 R20,000.00 Start Date: ASAP Key Responsibilities: · Forecast supply and demand to prevent overstocking and running out-of-stock (OOS). · Enter purchase details (vendor information, invoices, and pricing) into internal databases. · Place orders to replenish merchandise as needed. · Track shipments and address any delays. · Oversee storage of products, particularly fragile items. · Evaluate suppliers’ offers and negotiate profitable deals. · Coordinate regular inventory audits. · Liaise with warehouse staff and internal teams to test product quality (delivery status and storage conditions). · Updated and maintain inventory records, including daily shipments. · Ensure purchases do not exceed budget. · Receive goods using appropriate software, ensuring paperwork accuracy and goods condition. · Ensure a FIFO stock rotation system is maintained. · Keep stores clean, safe, and organized to maximize sales and minimize waste. · Support the PI team with physical stock checks when necessary. · Maintain high housekeeping standards within the warehouse and site. · Assist the production department as required by site management. · Support daily transport administration processes to ensure right first-time dispatch. · Receive and inspect all deliveries. · Liaise with suppliers regarding discrepancies and delivery issues. · Maintain detailed records of shortages and surplus items. · Update inventory management systems regularly. · Pick and deliver goods using a forklift. · Organize and deliver goods from the store to relevant departments. Job Requirements: · 25 years of proven work experience as a Stock Controller, Inventory Manager, Warehouse Manager, or similar role. · Matric Higher Grade. · Good understanding of supply chain procedures. · Excellent computer skills with Advanced Microsoft Excel knowledge (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, and formulas). · Ability to work under pressure. · Managerial and leadership skills. · Strong verbal and written communication capabilities.
