Kendrick Recruitment is seeking a dynamic and polished Assistant Manager for the boutique and art gallery of a luxury safari lodge in the Kruger National Park. This guest-facing retail role is ideal for a candidate with flair, a strong eye for detail, and a passion for high-end products and personalised service. The successful candidate will be well-presented, articulate, and genuinely enjoy engaging with guests.
Position Overview
The Assistant Boutique & Art Gallery Manager will support the lodges retail operations, ensuring an exceptional guest experience, effective sales performance, and the smooth management of inventory and visual merchandising standards.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver exceptional guest service through personalised product recommendations and efficient service recovery
Maintain strong product knowledge and confidently advise guests on luxury items, design pieces, and retail trends
Support sales growth by meeting targets, identifying opportunities, and actively driving revenue
Assist with stock control and inventory processes, ensuring seamless guest transactions and accurate product handling
Support visual merchandising standards to ensure the boutique is beautifully styled and aligned with luxury brand presentation
Communicate effectively with lodge departments to ensure guest requests are actioned smoothly
Promote the lodges conservation message and purpose through positive guest engagement
Requirements
Boutique retail or luxury retail experience essential
Luxury safari lodge experience highly advantageous
Strong organisational skills and ability to multitask
Excellent attention to detail and high service standards
Confident communicator in written and spoken English; professional and guest-focused
Strong computer skills and administrative confidence (Microsoft Office essential; accounting system experience advantageous)
Enthusiastic, presentable, and passionate about retail, design, and guest interaction
