About the Role
A prestigious luxury lodge in Hluhluwe, KZN is seeking a talented and experienced Executive Chef to take full responsibility for its kitchen operations. This role is perfectly suited to a passionate culinary professional who excels in a high-end hospitality environment and is committed to delivering exceptional dining experiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Proven experience as an Executive Chef in a luxury lodge or hospitality environment
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to train, mentor, and develop kitchen teams
- Excellent knowledge of kitchen hygiene standards and food safety practices
- Ability to design and implement 7-day menus in line with food styling guidelines
- Experience with bush banqueting, picnics, and high-end food presentation
- Good administrative and organisational skills, including menu costing and reporting
- Strong communication skills with staff, management, and guests
- Knowledge of PANSTRAT and proactive maintenance practices
- Ability to manage dietary requirements and deliver consistent quality
