About the Role
We are seeking a highly experienced Business Development Manager (Key Accounts) to join our team in Johannesburg. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving revenue and margin growth within existing key accounts, leveraging advanced technology tools to position solutions effectively and build strong relationships across multiple teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive revenue and margin growth within existing key accounts by expanding into new departments and business units
- Develop and execute structured account growth plans with clear, measurable targets
- Build strong, multi-level relationships across procurement, technical, operations, and executive teams
- Position solutions effectively by leveraging advanced technology tools as a key differentiator
- Maintain strong CRM discipline: Track all interactions, opportunities, and follow-ups consistently
- Collaborate with internal teams (operations, finance, and logistics) to ensure seamless service delivery
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the broader ICT and technology aftermarket space
- Provide valuable market insights including competitor activity, pricing trends, and customer needs
- Represent the business professionally at client engagements, industry events, and stakeholder meetings
Requirements
- 10+ years B2B sales experience within IT distribution, technology channel, industrial distribution, or similar environments
- Proven success in growing revenue within existing accounts (not just maintaining them)
- Experience engaging with large, multi-stakeholder organisations such as service providers, resellers, or enterprise clients
- Strong understanding of complex sales cycles and relationship management across multiple levels
