About the Role
The Data Science Executive will lead the design and delivery of robust, client-focused data and statistical solutions to drive business growth and success. This role requires a strategic thinker with exceptional analytical skills, who can translate complex quantitative data into clear business insights. The successful candidate will provide expert advisory support to internal and external stakeholders, champion continuous improvement through innovation, automation, and best-practice methodologies, while ensuring data integrity and compliance with relevant legislation.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design and delivery of robust, client-focused data and statistical solutions
- Ensure high-quality, insightful, and action-driven analytical reporting aligned to agreed specifications and deadlines
- Translate complex quantitative data into clear business insights (not academic outputs)
- Provide expert advisory support to internal and external stakeholders, including clients and project teams
- Drive operational efficiency, project profitability, and on-time, on-budget delivery
- Champion continuous improvement through innovation, automation, and best-practice methodologies
- Ensure data integrity and compliance with POPIA, GDPR, and relevant legislation
- Lead, mentor, and develop the Data Science team while embedding a high-performance, values-driven culture
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Statistics, Research, Data Analytics, or a related field
- Minimum 10 years’ senior-level experience in statistical research
- 3–5 years’ experience in data management or solution development
