About the Role
The Assistant Depot Manager role is an essential part of maintaining the daily operational efficiency of our depot, working closely with the Depot Manager to ensure a safe and effective working environment. This position requires a strong operational background, excellent staff management skills, and a proactive approach to preventative maintenance.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with ground preparation and bags layout
- Measure and manage silo bag inventory
- Contribute to daily depot operations and maintenance
- Implement efficient systems for bag measurement and storage
- Collaborate with Depot Manager on depot planning and problem-solving
Requirements
- Agricultural tertiary qualification
- Certification: Fumigation, Grading of wheat
- Health and Safety accreditation
- 3-5 years of experience as a silo bag assistant depot manager
- Strong operational background and ability to multitask
- Excellent staff management skills
- Preventative maintenance and efficiency mind-set in an agricultural environment
