About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Contracts Manager to join our team in Kempton Park, responsible for overseeing construction projects from initiation to completion, ensuring timely delivery, and managing budgets.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage construction projects from initiation to completion
- Plan and coordinate labour, materials, and equipment
- Conduct regular site visits and progress evaluations
- Lead, manage, and develop technical teams
- Ensure effective resource allocation for project execution
- Drive productivity and operational efficiency
- Prepare and manage project budgets and cost control
- Approve invoices, purchase orders, and payment schedules
- Manage subcontractor agreements, rates, and contracts
- Coordinate weekly meetings
- Procurement revenue and cost tracking
- Compile and submit reports to the Operations Director
- Conduct weekly reviews on progress, budget, and forward planning
- Ensure compliance with project specifications and regulations
- Work closely with SHEQ to enforce safety standards and procedures
- Oversee compliance with design and technical requirements
Requirements
- BTech / BSc in Civil Engineering
- Registered with Engineering Council of South Africa (ECSA) as: Professional Civil Engineer / Technologist / Technician
- OR Registered with South African Council for the Project and Construction Management Professions (SACPCMP) as: Professional Construction Project Manager / Construction Manager
- Minimum 10 years experience in civil infrastructure projects
- Valid drivers license and own vehicle (advantageous)
