About the Role
We are seeking a passionate and professional Computer Literacy Instructor to join our team at an assigned private school. As a key member of our education department, you will play a vital role in shaping the digital futures of learners from Grade 1 through Grade 9.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver Computer Literacy lessons in accordance with the KayTech Nexa curriculum across all assigned grade levels
- Teach keyboard and mouse skills, desktop navigation, file management, and typing proficiency
- Deliver Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint lessons appropriate to each grade level
- Teach internet safety, digital citizenship, and responsible online behaviour
- Introduce basic coding concepts to Grade 7–9 learners
- Maintain accurate attendance registers and track individual learner progress
- Complete and submit termly progress reports for each enrolled learner
- Set up, operate, and pack away all classroom equipment every session
- Report any equipment faults or technical issues to management
- Maintain classroom discipline and a positive, encouraging learning environment
- Uphold the KayTech Nexa Code of Conduct and all school rules at all times
- Safeguard the wellbeing of all learners without exception
Requirements
- Matric Certificate (minimum)
- Diploma or Degree in IT, Computer Science, or Education preferred
- Confident and proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- At least 1 year of teaching, tutoring, or training experience (formal or informal)
