A well-established manufacturing company based in Alberton is urgently seeking a Technical Production Supervisor with proven experience in the Seals, Liners, and Wads industry. This is a hands-on, dual-function role combining production supervision with technical/mechanical responsibilities.
? Minimum Requirements:
Must be immediately available
Previous experience in Seals, Liners & Wads manufacturing
Strong mechanical and production background
CAD experience for tooling design is an advantage
Ability to supervise, install, maintain, and repair production machinery
? Key Duties & Responsibilities:
Production Supervision
Supervise, guide, and allocate tasks to production staff
Monitor production quality and output
Implement process improvements to reduce waste and improve efficiency
Ensure compliance with health & safety regulations
Report inefficiencies to the Production Controller or Planner
Stand in for the Workshop Supervisor when required
Participate in training staff, setting and operating machines
Technical & Mechanical
Perform routine maintenance, fault-finding and repairs on machinery
Install and commission new equipment
Troubleshoot and inspect mechanical issues
Maintain accurate maintenance and repair records
Replace or repair damaged/worn parts
Collaborate on complex issues with technical team
Ensure machinery safety standards are upheld
Design new tooling in CAD when required
Identify and report potential or actual machinery-related quality concerns
