Ballito: Operations Technician – Urgently needed posted by Plentify

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Operations Technician to join our team in Ballito, South Africa. As a key member of our operations team, you will play a crucial role in scaling our business rapidly and ensuring seamless day-to-day operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Installation of all products at an SDU and MDU level (on site field work)
• Managing our fleet of devices: field service maintenance, daily fleet monitoring, technical troubleshooting and supporting users.
• Expanding our installer network through training, on-site evaluations and remote support.
• Managing installation projects, including installations for our B2C channel.
• R&D support: running field experiments and root cause analysis to improve our product.
• Internal ops & logistics: Implementing and running a seamless and scalable operation, including inventory control, picking, packing and testing products.
• Assisting with deployment logistics to enable our installers in the region.

Requirements

• A valid drivers licence & own transport is required
• At least 5 years experience in a related role
• Qualified and COC registered plumber
• Experience with multimeters & good soldering skills (through-hole & surface mount)
• Skilled at using hand tools and power tools and comfortable with site work, including working at heights
• Strong attention to detail, good communication, computer literacy and ability to self manage
