About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Business Area Leader to join our team at Burgersfort, responsible for leading a high-performing team and driving business growth in the mining industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and motivate a high-performing team to achieve business objectives
- Develop and implement business strategies to drive growth and profitability
- Build strong relationships with internal teams, external stakeholders, JV partners, DMR, community leaders, contractors, and suppliers
- Proven project management experience in mining or heavy industrial environment
- Strong working knowledge of CMMS and environmental legislation applicable to mining operations
Requirements
- Degree or National Higher Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (NQF Level 6)
- Relevant experience as a 2.13.1 appointment
- Government Certificate of Competence (GCC) – Mines and Works (mandatory)
- A Business and/or Management qualification will be advantageous
- Minimum of 10 years experience in the mining industry, with at least 5 years in a managerial or leadership role
Qualifications
- Formal education/certifications: Degree or National Higher Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (NQF Level 6)
