About the Role
The Limpopo Career Consortium (Limcaco) is seeking a highly experienced Business Area Leader to join our team in Burgersfort. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for leading and managing our business area, driving growth and development, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality results.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the business area, setting strategic direction and goals
- Develop and implement business plans to drive growth and profitability
- Manage and motivate internal teams, including staff and contractors
- Build and maintain strong relationships with external stakeholders, including JV partners, DMR, community leaders, and suppliers
- Ensure compliance with environmental legislation and regulatory requirements
- Oversee the implementation of Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS)
- Provide leadership and guidance to junior staff members
Requirements
- Degree or National Higher Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (NQF Level 6)
- Relevant experience as a 2.13.1 appointment
- Government Certificate of Competence (GCC) – Mines and Works (mandatory)
- A Business and/or Management qualification will be advantageous
- Minimum of 10 years experience in the mining industry, with at least 5 years in a managerial or leadership role
- Proven Project Management experience within a mining or heavy industrial environment
- Strong working knowledge of Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS)
