An established professional services firm is seeking an experienced Accountant: Independent Reviews & Compilations to join its Assurance team. Reporting to the relevant Director, the successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality independent review and compilation engagements, preparing financial statements, and maintaining strong client relationships.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform and assist with Independent Review engagements from planning through to finalisation.

• Prepare high-quality Annual Financial Statements in accordance with IFRS and IFRS for SMEs, including full working paper files.

• Liaise directly with clients and attend engagement-related meetings.

• Monitor engagement budgets, time spent, and ensure deadlines are met.

• Assist in mentoring and training junior team members.

• Ensure compliance with firm quality, independence, and professional standards.

• Maintain accurate administration, time recording, and engagement documentation.

Requirements

• Completed SAICA articles.

• BCom degree essential; PGDA/CTA advantageous.

• Strong working knowledge of IFRS and IFRS for SMEs.

• Proven experience preparing financial statements using CaseWare Working Papers.

• Previous experience within an assurance or accounting environment.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook and Teams).
