Cape Town City Centre: Business Development Manager – Insurance

Job Description

REQUIREMENTS Minimum of 3 years experience in insurance sales and/or business development. Strong knowledge of insurance products, industry practices, and regulatory requirements. Excellent communication, negotiation, presentation, and relationship-management skills. Demonstrated ability to achieve sales targets and drive revenue growth. Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving abilities. Ability to identify new business opportunities and develop effective growth strategies. Proven experience building and maintaining relationships with clients, brokers, and key stakeholders. Self-motivated, results-driven, and able to work independently as well as within a team environment. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM systems. Relevant insurance qualifications and regulatory certifications, including RE5 and/or RE1, will be advantageous. DUTIES Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the insurance sector Develop and implement sales strategies to drive revenue growth and achieve business targets Build, maintain, and strengthen relationships with clients, brokers, and business partners Manage existing client portfolios and identify opportunities for cross-selling and upselling products and services Collaborate closely with underwriting and operations teams to ensure efficient service delivery and client satisfaction Provide exceptional customer service and ongoing support to clients and stakeholders Monitor industry trends, competitor activities, and market developments to identify business opportunities Analyse market data and industry insights to support strategic decision-making Identify and capitalise on emerging market opportunities to expand the business Assist in the development of marketing and promotional materials to support business development initiatives Work with the marketing team to create and execute targeted campaigns aimed at increasing brand awareness and generating leads Represent the company at industry events, networking functions, and conferences to promote services and build industry relationships Salary: R negotiable dependent on experience Join us on SOCIAL MEDIA or visit our WEBSITE for more information.
