About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Tableau Developer / Data Visualisation Specialist to transform complex data into clear, compelling and commercially useful visual stories for our financial services environment. The ideal candidate will work closely with business stakeholders, Business Analysts, Product Owners, and the Head of Data Analytics to understand reporting needs, interpret data, and design creative dashboards and visualisations that support business decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop and maintain high-quality Tableau dashboards, reports and visualisations.
  • Translate business questions and reporting requirements into clear, actionable visual insights.
  • Work with stakeholders to understand the business context behind the data and recommend the best way to visualise it.
  • Partner with Business Analysts and Product Owners to refine requirements, validate data definitions and ensure dashboards meet business needs.
  • Use data from the Snowflake platform to build scalable, accurate and performant reporting solutions.
  • Create visually compelling dashboards that tell a clear story and guide business users toward meaningful insights.
  • Engage with business stakeholders to understand what decisions need to be supported by the data.
  • Apply strong data visualisation principles, including layout, usability, colour, hierarchy, filtering, drilldowns and executive-level storytelling.
  • Ensure reports are accurate, consistent, user-friendly and aligned to agreed business definitions.
  • Optimise Tableau reports for performance and usability.
  • Support the Head of Data Analytics with the delivery of strategic reporting and analytics initiatives.
  • Identify opportunities to improve existing dashboards, reporting packs and data visualisation standards.
  • Help business users interpret dashboards and understand the insights being presented.
  • Collaborate with data teams to understand source data, data models and reporting limitations.
  • Maintain documentation around reports, metrics, definitions and dashboard usage where required.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Tableau Developer, BI Developer, Data Visualisation Specialist or Reporting Analyst.
  • Strong hands-on experience building dashboards and reports in Tableau.
  • Experience working with cloud data platforms, preferably Snowflake.
  • Strong ability to engage with business stakeholders and translate requirements into visual reporting solutions.
  • Experience working with Business Analysts, Product Owners, Data Analysts and Analytics teams.
  • Strong understanding of data visualisation best practice and dashboard design principles.
  • Ability to interpret data and present it as a meaningful story, not just a static report.
