About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Proposals Engineer to join our team in Cape Town City Centre. The successful candidate will have extensive experience in preparing technical and commercial proposals, interacting with clients, and managing Bills of Materials. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual to work on various engineering projects and contribute to the growth of our company.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare technical and commercial proposals in line with client requirements
- Interact directly with clients to clarify scope, technical requirements, and commercial queries
- Compile and manage Bills of Materials (BOMs) for proposed solutions
- Liaise closely with the engineering team to ensure technically accurate and feasible proposals
- Prepare cost estimates and quotations for engineering solutions and equipment
- Review and interpret technical documentation and drawings to support proposal development
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years experience in a Proposals / Estimating / Technical Sales role
- Proven experience working with turbo machinery and pressure vessels
- Strong ability to understand and interpret technical and engineering drawings
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for costing, estimating, and analysis
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage confidently with clients and internal stakeholders
- High attention to detail and ability to work accurately under deadlines
Qualifications
- Minimum BTech in Mechanical Engineering
