About the Role

A leading construction and building contractor is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join a high-end projects team based in the prestigious Clifton area of Cape Town. This is an exciting opportunity to work on premium residential and luxury development projects with a respected and fast-growing contractor known for delivering exceptional workmanship and quality.

Key Responsibilities

  • Managing project cost control and budgeting
  • Preparing BOQs, estimates, and tender documentation
  • Monitoring subcontractor claims and valuations
  • Conducting site measurements and progress assessments
  • Preparing monthly cost reports and forecasts
  • Managing procurement processes and supplier negotiations
  • Ensuring projects remain within financial targets
  • Liaising with project managers, architects, engineers, and clients

Requirements

  • Degree or Diploma in Quantity Surveying
  • Minimum 35 years experience in the construction industry
  • Experience on residential or luxury building projects advantageous
  • Strong knowledge of construction contracts and cost management
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Ability to work independently and under pressure
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and QS software packages
  • Valid drivers license
