About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Residence Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of our student accommodation in Cape Town City Centre. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth running of our building, managing maintenance work orders, and coordinating repairs and preventative maintenance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day building operations
  • Create and oversee maintenance work orders
  • Manage property systems (MyBuildings, PIMS, Rise)
  • Conduct inspections and ensure compliance with regulations
  • Coordinate repairs and preventative maintenance
  • Address student queries, complaints, and escalations
  • Oversee student intake and vacate processes
  • Maintain accurate student records
  • Coordinate student events and engagement initiatives
  • Compile and submit monthly management reports
  • Assist with budgeting and financial tracking
  • Support occupancy and revenue optimisation initiatives

Requirements

  • Grade 12 (Matric)
  • Minimum 6 years relevant experience
  • Previous experience in student accommodation is essential
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent communication abilities
  • Effective problem-solving skills
  • High attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure
