About the Role
Our client, a well-established business operating in the Cape Town coastal region, is looking to appoint an experienced Field Sales Representative to grow their footprint and manage client relationships within their territory. This is a hands-on, in-field role suited to a sales professional who is comfortable spending the majority of their week on the road, meeting clients face-to-face and closing business directly.
This is not a desk-based or telesales position the successful candidate must come from a genuine field sales background, with a proven track record of generating leads, managing a territory, and closing deals in person.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and grow an existing client base within the coastal Cape Town region through regular in-person visits
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities through cold calling, networking, and territory mapping
- Conduct face-to-face client meetings, product demonstrations, and presentations
- Negotiate and close sales agreements in the field
- Maintain accurate records of client interactions, pipeline activity, and sales forecasts
- Build long-term relationships with clients to ensure repeat business and referrals
- Report regularly on sales activity, targets, and market feedback
Requirements
- Minimum 35 years’ extensive experience in infield/external sales (non-negotiable)
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets in a field-based role
- Valid driver’s licence and own reliable vehicle
- Strong negotiation, prospecting, and closing skills
- Excellent communication and relationship-building ability
- Self-motivated and able to manage own schedule and territory independently
- Based in, or willing to travel extensively within, the Cape Town coastal region
