Centurion: IT Network Engineer

Position Overview Majestic Data is seeking a hands-on IT Network Engineer to join their technical team in Pretoria. The successful candidate will be responsible for the design, implementation, support and optimisation of enterprise networking environments, working with Cisco technologies and other network infrastructure platforms. Key Responsibilities Design, configure and maintain enterprise network infrastructure Install, configure and support Cisco networking equipment Manage and support LAN, WAN, VPN and SD-WAN environments Monitor network performance and troubleshoot connectivity issues Implement and support network security solutions Assist with cloud connectivity and hybrid network environments Support data centre and infrastructure deployments Perform network upgrades, patches and preventative maintenance Document network configurations and technical procedures Provide technical support and escalation for complex network incidents Technical Skills Cisco routing and switching LAN / WAN networking VPN technologies Network security principles Firewall configuration Network monitoring tools TCP/IP networking Infrastructure troubleshooting Exposure to Windows / Linux server environments advantageous Minimum Requirements Qualifications Market Networking Certification Relevant Cisco certification (CCNA or higher) Experience Minimum 35 years experience in network engineering or infrastructure support Experience working with Cisco networking technologies Experience supporting enterprise network environments Advantageous Skills CCNP certification Experience with SD-WAN or Software Defined Networking Experience with cloud connectivity (Azure / AWS) Experience with data centre networking Exposure to cybersecurity or enterprise security solutions Experience working for IT service providers or system integrators
