A leading national operational services business is seeking a high-calibre CA(SA) to join its finance team based in Durban.

This opportunity is ideally suited to a recently qualified CA(SA) looking to transition into a commercially focused operational finance role within a fast-paced supply chain and services environment.

Candidates coming recognised audit firms, coupled with post-articles commercial exposure within logistics, supply chain, distribution, manufacturing or FMCG environments, will be highly regarded.

Key Responsibilities

• Preparation and review of monthly management accounts
• Analysis of income statement and balance sheet movements
• Budgeting, forecasting and regional reporting
• Oversight of debtors, creditors and cash flow management
• Inventory reconciliations, stock controls and stock count oversight
• Fixed asset accounting and reconciliations
• Internal controls and compliance monitoring
• Preparation of audit and reporting schedules
• Liaising with internal and external auditors
• Financial process improvement and operational support
• Monitoring procurement spend and related reporting
• Supporting regional finance operations and driving efficiencies

Minimum Requirements

• CA(SA) qualification is essential
• Completed articles with a recognised audit firm preferred
• Approximately 13 years post qualification experience
• Exposure to commercial or operational finance environments
• Strong financial reporting and reconciliation capability
• Advanced Excel skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving ability
• Sound understanding of internal controls and IFRS principles
• Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced operational environment

Advantageous Experience

• Supply chain, logistics, distribution, manufacturing or FMCG sector exposure
• Sage Accpac / Sage 300 exposure
• Experience with budgeting and forecasting tools
• Exposure to multi-site or regional finance operations
