About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Fire Protection Designer/Draughtsman to join our dynamic team in Durban, South Africa. Key Responsibilities
- Design & Drafting: Prepare compliant fire protection system designs tailored to tender requirements.
- Hydraulic Calculations: Accurately determine pipe sizing for sprinkler systems.
- Site Assessments: Conduct flow tests, site surveys, and detailed measurements.
- Documentation: Produce drawings, fabrication lists (with pricing and stock info), O&M manuals, and ASIB documentation.
- Client Liaison: Work closely with consultants and clients to ensure smooth project execution.
- General Duties: Tackle additional tasks as directed by management.
Requirements
- Education: Relevant qualification in drafting or mechanical engineering.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years as a draughtsman, ideally with fire protection systems.
- Technical Skills:
- Strong Revit skills (highly advantageous).
- Competence in performing hydraulic calculations.
