About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Quality Control Manager to join our team in Durban, responsible for ensuring the highest quality of our upholstery materials and final products. This hands-on role requires a strong understanding of quality control processes and a meticulous eye for detail.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out and oversee quality inspections throughout the production process, including in-line and final checks.
  • Ensure adherence to internal quality standards and customer specifications.
  • Work closely with production teams to identify, record, and resolve defects or quality issues.
  • Train and mentor two junior QC staff, ensuring consistent performance and development.
  • Liaise with the QC Manager to identify trends and contribute to quality improvement initiatives.
  • Maintain accurate quality records and inspection reports.
  • Provide practical support on the shop floor and contribute to a team-wide commitment to excellence.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in quality control.
  • Experience with leather and fabric upholstery furniture is advantageous.
