About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Quality Control Manager to join our team in Durban. As a hands-on professional, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality of our furniture products, working closely with production teams and supervising junior staff.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out and oversee quality inspections throughout the production process, including in-line and final checks.
- Ensure adherence to internal quality standards and customer specifications.
- Work closely with production teams to identify, record, and resolve defects or quality issues.
- Train and mentor two junior QC staff, ensuring consistent performance and development.
- Liaise with the QC Manager to identify trends and contribute to quality improvement initiatives.
- Maintain accurate quality records and inspection reports.
- Provide practical support on the shop floor and contribute to a team-wide commitment to excellence.
Requirements
Proven experience in quality control. Experience with leather and fabric upholstery furniture is advantageous.
