About the Role
As a Raw Materials Supervisor at our client’s manufacturing facility in Durban, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of production by overseeing the receipt, storage, and issuance of raw materials. With a strong focus on accuracy, quality, and efficiency, this is an ideal opportunity for a hands-on, detail-oriented individual to join our team.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee receipt, storage, and issuing of raw materials to support production
- Maintain accurate stock control (SAP and Sync), including cycle counts and reconciliations
- Ensure timely material availability to prevent production downtime
- Monitor quality, handling, and compliance with safety standards
- Coordinate with procurement, warehouse, production, and external CMTs
- Manage staff, allocate duties, and track performance
- Control costs, minimise waste, and ensure accurate reporting
Requirements
- Matric
- Textile qualification advantageous
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar role
- SAP experience essential; strong Sync and advanced Excel skills
- Solid understanding of fabrics and materials handling
- Strong numeracy, attention to detail, and problem-solving ability
- Leadership skills with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Own reliable transport and valid driver’s license
