In a business where volume meets complexity, strong financial control is what keeps everything aligned. A well-established organisation is looking for a Financial Accountant to take ownership of the finance function and support leadership with accurate, timely reporting.
Reporting to the Finance Manager, this role sits at the core of the business, covering month-end reporting, asset management, VAT, and intercompany processes. It’s an opportunity for a hands-on accountant who enjoys working across the full finance function while supporting operational and strategic decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

  • Managing the month-end close process and reporting requirements
  • Preparing management reports and financial reporting packs
  • Maintaining and reconciling fixed asset and vehicle registers
  • Managing intercompany loan accounts and reconciliations
  • Preparing draft Annual Financial Statements (AFS)
  • Handling VAT submissions, reconciliations, and queries
  • Supporting budgeting processes and financial planning
  • Maintaining the general ledger and master data integrity
  • Assisting with team oversight and productivity management

Job Experience and Skills Required

  • Post-matric qualification in Accounting or Finance (BCom preferred)
  • 3–5 years’ experience in a financial accounting role
  • Strong knowledge of IFRS, VAT, and tax legislation
  • Advanced Excel and Microsoft Office proficiency
  • Ability to manage high volumes of work and tight deadlines
  • Strong organisational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Experience in a corporate or multi-entity environment advantageous
