About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Motor Technician to join our workshop team, where you will be responsible for delivering exceptional quality workmanship to our customers while maintaining a safe and organized workspace.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform routine maintenance and servicing on vehicles according to manufacturer standards
  • Conduct accurate diagnostics on mechanical and electrical faults using OEM diagnostic tools
  • Repair and replace faulty components, including engine, transmission, braking, and electrical systems
  • Carry out vehicle inspections and identify potential issues before they become major problems
  • Ensure all work is completed within specified timeframes and meets quality standards
  • Maintain detailed and accurate job cards and service records
  • Test drive vehicles where necessary to confirm faults and ensure successful repairs
  • Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized workspace
  • Communicate effectively with service advisors regarding vehicle status and additional repair needs
  • Stay up to date with the latest technical developments, especially related to similar brands
  • Assist team members when required and contribute to a positive workshop environment
  • Deliver high levels of customer satisfaction through quality workmanship

Requirements

  • Grade 12/Matric MERSETA recognized qualification
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Minimum of 3 years’ post qualification experience, preferably in a franchise dealership environment
  • Experience with Hyundai or similar brands will be advantageous
  • Computer literate
  • Strong electrical and mechanical diagnostic ability
