About the Role
The Small Tools Supervisor position is a critical role in maintaining equipment, managing inventory, and overseeing staff to ensure accurate management of small tools and plant. The ideal candidate will be responsible for liaising with sites, supervising employees, and ensuring timely submission of paperwork.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain equipment and document new purchases and repairs
- Source additional tools required by projects
- Manage inventory of small plant and tools
- Supervise staff to ensure correct management of equipment
- Liaise with sites to complete SMFS and documentation accurately
- Supervise LTI’s on site to ensure correct management procedure
- Ensure timely submission of final costings and figures for action by Finance, Operations, and other role players
- Follow up with site Managers to ensure costings are signed off and acknowledged timeously
- Hold weekly meetings with LTI’s and participate in weekly site meetings
- Update action lists with relevant comments on a daily basis
- Conduct daily meetings with all role players in the small tool division
- Close the gap between site and Head Office by ensuring staff adhere to procedures
- Forward plan requirements by working closely with procurement team and small tools team
- Expedite shortages and ordered stocks
- Oversee repairs and maintenance of equipment
Requirements
Relevant Certification, 5 years in small tools supervising in electrical infrastructure industry/similar, Grade 12/Matric.
Qualifications
Formal education/certifications (Bachelor’s, LLB, Matric, etc.) not specified.
